A pendant hung at the wrong height over a dining table
Olivaro Gallery is a sole proprietorship based in Jaipur, Rajasthan, operating online as Olivaro Gallery (olivarogallery.shop).
How this started
A pendant bought for a dining table in Jaipur, Rajasthan and hung where the fitting’s chain happened to end — about twenty centimetres too low. Everyone at the table spent a year looking around it, and shortening a fixed rod was not possible.
The listing had given a diameter and a finish. Not a drop range, not whether the rod could be cut, not the beam spread. Those are the three numbers that decide whether a ceiling light works in a room, and they are on every listing here.
A ceiling light is bought on how it looks and lived with on how far down it hangs.
Our commitment
Drop range, published
Minimum and maximum hanging height, and whether the rod is adjustable or fixed.
Beam spread stated
Whether it washes a room or puts a pool of light on a table. Two fittings of the same wattage can do completely different jobs.
Indian ceilings, honestly
Weight, plate size and whether a concrete anchor is needed — because a fitting that cannot be safely mounted is not a bargain.
Our story
The range stays narrow because we hang the fittings before listing them. Two came down again: one whose glass rattled at the slightest fan draught, another whose driver buzzed audibly in a quiet room.
We publish the practical warnings too — that a fitting over a dining table wants its bottom edge about 75–85 cm above the surface, and that an integrated LED fitting cannot be re-lamped when it eventually fails.
Online only
There is no showroom and no walk-in counter. Olivaro Gallery trades entirely online and ships across India from Jaipur, Rajasthan, which keeps overheads off the price of the goods.
